Pichwai painting is a form of traditional Indian art, that originate from the state of Rajasthan. These paintings which portrays the life and tales of Lord Krishna are renowned for their minute details and vivid colours. These paintings were initially made to serve as the background of Lord Shreenathji. He is the manifestation of Lord Krishna as a child. These paintings were originally utilised in the Shreenathji temple in Nathdwara. It started back in 17:th century in Nathdwara.These paintings were created using natural paints and dyes. These artworks mainly have Lotus flower, peacocks and cows. All directed to Lord Krishna.
